Join in the fun and recreate your memories of days out in Eastbourne. Do you have an old photo of you and/or your family enjoying a day out in Eastbourne? Maybe you are on the beach, shopping in town, eating an ice cream or relaxing in a park? Maybe you own a business in the town and you have some old photos of your shop, restaurant or office? If you have an Eastbourne memory, we would love to see it.
Visit Eastbourne, Eastbourne Hospitality Association, Your Eastbourne BID and Eastbourne unLtdChamber of Commerce have joined forces, promoting Eastbourne through the #LoveEastbournesocial media campaign.
Wednesday 19thAugust is World Photography Day and we are using this to launch an #EBMemoriescompetition; a bit of fun to get involved in and the chance to win ice cream sundaes from Gianni’s.
To join in, all you need to do is recreate an old photo of a day out in Eastbourne. Even if you don’t have any of your own photos, you can still join in by recreating one of Heritage Eastbourne’s vintage photos being posted on the Your Eastbourne Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
Post the original and your recreation on social media, using the hashtags #EBMemories and #LoveEastbourne anytime between now and the end of September. Photos: Deputy Leader of Eastbourne Borough Council, Stephen Holt, and Town Centre Manager, Luke Johnson, recreate a vintage.
